The GTUK

Coalville and Glenfield Schools are affiliated to the national association, Global Taekwon-do United Kingdom (GTUK). Being members of the GTUK, all students of Coalville and Glenfield Schools benefit from many things. As well as having an original student of Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha IX and student of Taekwon-do for 40 years as president of the GTUK, Master Oldham VIII, also holds regular seminars, technical courses and training sessions, allowing us to benefit from his knowledge and experience of Taekwon-do. There are also a team of 4th and 5th degrees holding regular seminars and special training, including England Squad training and Jee-Goo (red belt and black belt classes). National tournaments, such as the British, Team and Scottish Championships also happen every year, allowing for friendly competition and to meet new friends. Local tournaments are also a common occurence, with the annual East Midlands Interclub Tournament taking place early in the year. There are also approaching 100 Schools ranging from Scotland to Kent and any GTUK member can train at any of these Schools.

More information on the GTUK can be found here
